The 501(c)(3) Bird Endowment's passion is the well-being of all birds. Our daily labor, however, is Saving The Blues by breaking the extinction vortex into which the Blue-throated Macaw has been thrust. In the wild we provide nest boxes to compensate for lost natural nesting cavities in Bolivia. At The Blues Conservatory we facilitate captive parent rearing. This provides future BTM breeding birds with the greatest potential for hatching and parent-rearing their own offspring and the capability to preserve the integrity of the species cultural identity in a captive flock.
